Requirements
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead pricing strategy and profitability analysis for new launches, product enhancements, and FIA repricing initiatives
Own and enhance pricing and projection models that support product design, valuation, and business decisions
Deliver insights on product performance, policyholder behavior, lapse trends, and credited rate strategy
Partner with Product, Compliance, and Legal to support filings, governance, and speed to market
Collaborate with investment and hedging partners on option budgets, asset strategy, and risk mitigation
Lead scenario testing and capital impact analysis under changing market conditions
Support reserve calculations and financial reporting under statutory, GAAP, and LDTI frameworks
Contribute to reinsurance strategy, capital efficiency, and product economics initiatives
Monitor market, competitor, and regulatory developments to inform product strategy and client advice
Mentor junior staff and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that drive client and firm success
Required Experience and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related quantitative field
FSA preferred; experienced ASA candidates with strong FIA pricing leadership will also be considered
10+ years of actuarial experience in life insurance or annuities, including leadership of complex pricing, product, or valuation work
Deep FIA experience across product design, pricing, repricing, inforce analysis, and assumption setting
Strong command of FIA mechanics, crediting strategies, rider design, surrender charges, and profitability drivers
Working knowledge of statutory, U.S. GAAP, LDTI, capital frameworks, and actuarial governance
Experience with hedging concepts, option budgets, asset strategy, or FIA market risk is preferred
Proficiency with MG-ALFA, Prophet, AXIS, or similar actuarial modeling platforms
Strong analytical judgment with the ability to assess profitability, risk, capital impact, and market positioning
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex actuarial insights into clear business recommendations
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
Consulting or other client-facing advisory experience is a strong plus
