The Americas Division produced more than $3.7 billion in gross written premium in 2008. Surplus strength of more than $1.7 billion supports diversified, stable portfolios in 40 locations spanning 22 states and four Latin American countries. The division underwrites a diverse mix of property, casualty and health business on a reinsurance, direct and excess and surplus basis.
