Company History
Originally incorporated in North Carolina in 1943, Carolina Casualty has a long history in the Transportation Insurance industry. The Company moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1958, after an affiliation with the Insurance Company of the South, followed by a merger between the two companies in 1966. In January 1985, W. R. Berkley Corporation purchased Carolina Casualty, which has proven to be an integral part of the Specialty Insurance Segment ever since. For more information about W. R.
