Electric Insurance is licensed as a property and casualty insurer in all fifty states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Electric Insurance continues to serve as GE's primary insurer for many of its global insurance program. GE remains Electric Insurance Company's sole commercial lines customer continuing a long-standing relationship started by Electric Insurance's founding Company in 1927. Electric Insurance's personal lines business commenced in 1966. Today Electric Insurance Company is among the technology leaders in the insurance industry and is a leader in the application of information technology in the Internet format. Our business strategy is clearly defined as: (1) "to Create an Indispensable Partnership which will Expand GE's Competitive Advantage" and (2) with respect to personal lines "to achieve the highest standards in the industry".
